Leon of Athens concludes the concert with a live acoustic surprise at The Blender Gallery!

2018 has been a year full of great moments and awards for Leon, including his participation in some of the biggest festivals in the world (South by Southwest, Firefly, Okeechobee, Summerfest) next to names like Arctic Monkeys, Killers, Arcade Fire , Kendrick Lamar and Eminem. It recently won the first prize at the Unsigned Only international song contest among 6000 candidates from 95 countries and was included in Live Nation's 'Ones to watch' list. In November, he made his third trip to the United States and Canada, this time with City of the Sun.

The new album by Leon of Athens entitled 'Xenos', follows the album Global (2015) and is released by Minos EMI / Universal's David Kosten (Bat for Lashes, Marina & the Diamonds).

Drawing inspiration from events that shook the waters internationally as well as personal internal processes, the album is characterized by a mature dynamic while maintaining the sensitivity that always distinguishes Leon's approach. From the indie-pop lifting of the singles Aeroplane Fire Inside You and Utopia to the dark electronica of "Xenos", it proves to be a calm force that skillfully combines many different elements.

After a year full of great collaborations (Efthymiou Philippe, Rootlessroot, etc.) and immediately after his tour of America, Leon of Athens goes on stage at The Blender Gallery and invites us to hear for the first time audio tracks from the new Xenos album as well as favorite tracks from his previous discography and covers from the Greek and world music scene.
