Spring Travelogue 2021 | Day I

Day 1: Τhe works of artist Konstantinos Berdeklis are taken from the "cave" - workshop of the artist to the "mosque" - art gallery. Like a contemporary caveman Konstantinos Berdeklis uses a primitive medium, charcoal, on unprepared canvas to create ten artworks during the first lockdown. During the next days, The Totemic Other team will unite the artworks to set up a horizontal totem, turning the art gallery into a place of worship where the invited artists and creators converse with his art. Watch the video of the first day of a project imitates the artist’s attempt to outline on the canvas the fluidity of mind associations. Mimicry is a tool to conquer, and therefore understand, the “other”.
