Viewing Room: April Fool's Day

Being naive in art, expressing ingenuousness gives a different perspective to the viewer. A lightness that concludes to a jubilation connected with the frivolity of spring season, an ode to the first day of April.

On Aprils Fool’s day there is a tradition following the spring equinox.

Its origins date back in 1582, when France switched from the Julian calendar to the Gregorian calendar. A person who could not follow the change of the year and celebrated the new year by the end of march was called an april’s fish (a credulous person). It is also connected with the vernal equinox , where Mother Nature hypothetically fooled people with quirky and unpredictable weather.
