The most dynamic Venues of the Greek market were awarded!
With the participation of prominent event industry representatives, Boussias Communications and Marketing Week successfully hosted the Venue Awards 2020 for the 1st year in a row. and event farms that stood out for their infrastructure, quality of service and customer experience.
In a warm and friendly atmosphere, market representatives gathered on 30 January 2020 at the Greater Hellenic Foundation to honor innovation, creativity, experience, and respect for people, some of the key criteria that highlight the best venues. This year's entries, the quality and variety of nominations give strength and hope to establishing the Venue Awards as an institution.
The evening was opened by Ms. Zoi Lefaki Belouka, Chairman of the Jury and PR Consultant. In her speech she emphasized that "success is judged by the most immediate end-partner, that is space. Where the stage is set, where people will experience the experience. " The president said the night marks the beginning of the awards that will become an institution and map the venues of events in the Greek landscape. In closing, he congratulated the jury on the valuable and fair work of evaluating the candidates. "
The initiative to highlight the venues and their pivotal role in the success of an event was welcomed by HAPCO Chairman and Jury member Petros Theodoridis, President of the International Federation of Exhibition & Event Services, from the award ceremony. Sofia Kounenaki-Efraimoglou, Vice President of the Board of Directors of the Hellenic Foundation for the Greater Hellenism.
It was followed by the awarding of awards to people and organizations who, through their action and vision, have provided valuable work and contributed to the development of the industry.
The Venue Awards 2020 honored the late Thanassis Platis for his contribution to the event. Thanasis Platis laid the foundations on which he was expected to evolve and mature into one of the most important event organizing companies in Greece. The prize was received by his son, Manolis Platis.
An honorary award was given to the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center for its social contribution and the redefinition of public space. The features the vision of creating a public space open around the world, where everyone has free access to and participation in a multitude of cultural, educational, sporting, recreational and environmental activities and events. The award was received by Elpidoforos Pappas, Business Manager, Sarra Costala, Safety Manager, Deputy Security Manager and Nikolaos Polemikos, Deputy Facilities Manager.
In addition to the above honors, Gold, Silver and Bronze awards were awarded across the country for Venue, Location, Infrastructure / Design, Best Practices categories.
The night ended with a celebratory photo of the winners and a renewal of the next year.
